Based at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality, The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in association with Newcastle University, Centre for In Vivo Imaging, wishes to appoint a Senior Research Radiographer for the Positron Emission Tomography Centre.

A GE Signa 3T PET-MR Scanner was installed in 2016 with funding from the Medical Research Council as part of Dementias Platform UK, to provide advanced research capability in dementia imaging. The simultaneous acquisition of PET and MR clinical imaging data will also be used in other therapeutic areas, notably in oncology, developing and implementing a range of brain and body imaging protocols.

The new appointee will join a Research Team including MR Radiographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Physicists and Biomedical Scientists. There will be opportunities to extend knowledge and experience in MR investigation and to gain knowledge of PET imaging within a hybrid imaging environment.
