The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in association with Newcastle University wishes to appoint a Senior Radiographer Assistant for the Centre for In Vivo Imaging (CIVI), which comprises the Newcastle Magnetic Resonance Centre (MR) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Centre.   

Previous experience in a healthcare related discipline is essential.  The MR Centre opened in 2006 and is equipped with 2 whole body magnetic resonance scanners and the PET Centre opened 2016 with a PET MR scanner.  The major work of CIVI is to develop new techniques and carry out medical research on volunteers (patients and healthy control participants).   A wide range of conditions are investigated including diabetes, dementia, liver, heart and muscular disorders.  

The new appointee will work with four Senior Radiographers as part of the core research team of CIVI.
