GREAT NORTH CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

DIRECTORATE OF CHILD HEALTH

CONSULTANT PAEDIATRIC ENDOCRINOLOGIST

REF. 317-CON-21-176

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.

This new 6 PA substantive post in Paediatric Endocrinology is an innovative post designed not only to address the expanding workload of the Endocrinology department but to proactively support the transition of service as we prepare for the retirement of colleagues in 2022. The primary role of the successful applicant will be to support the local and regional delivery of paediatric endocrinology care, as such there would be no expectation to contribute to our young person’s diabetes service. However this would be possible to accommodate should the successful candidate have a particular interest in this area of paediatrics. Although this is advertised as a 6 PA post it is expected that there will be opportunities to increase these with time should the successful candidate wish.

This is an exciting time to join the department and there will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to develop services in line with their specific interests.
