This vacancy is part time for 15 Hours per week on a Thursday and Friday.

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work within the financial management team. The focus will be in the provision of financial information and analysis to Budget Holders and Senior Finance staff.

The Role

• To assist the Directorate Accountant with the production of the monthly financial statement.

• Under the direction of senior staff to have reporting responsibility for specific Directorates or Departments.

• Production of budgets for specific areas of reporting responsibility.

• Responding to queries from Directorate and Departmental Managers

• To ensure that financial controls are maintained within Corporate Governance guidelines

The Person

• Can demonstrable experience in a Finance Department of a busy organisation.

• Strong communication skills are essential, due to the need to communicate complex information to a range of different audiences using a range of different communication methods.

• A flexible approach is required to fulfil the duties in an environment with ever changing and/ or conflicting priorities.

• Can demonstrate an understanding of how the National Health Services is organised in particular NHS Foundation Trusts
